~~Chapter 4: Chaos of Confusion~~

Due to Rowlie's mind manipulation technique, Nova continued to stay in a constant cycle of confusion. Only certain members were immune to these tricks. The strain of the technique started warping their minds, making them less and less capable of rational thought. Rave decided to make a secret underground group of people to combat against the falsehoods of events as well as protect those who wrongfully are casted judgement upon.

Nova Square

Drdeath: mmmm tamu tamu. Where is she?

Freeze: Go away you freak.

Rave appears from the shadows beside Freeze.

Rave: Drdeath....what are you doing here?

The novians look at Rave and start mumbling to each other. Rave ignores and focuses on Drdeath.

Rave: You're not here with good intentions, Drdetah. Stand down.

Drdeath: Shut up! Leave me alone! I don't like children!

The Novians ignore Drdeath, not sensing the signs of danger.

Freeze: What!? Did you just say you'll touch a little girl!?

Drdeath: Youuuuuu! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!

Drdeath starts flailing about while the other novians pay no attention.

Drdeath: That's it. You've left me no choice. I'll have to KILL YOU!

Rave looks at Freeze

Rave: hmmm....could it be?

Drdeath chases after Freeze while Freeze continues to mock and criticize him.

Rave: What? Freeze is also immune to the technique? How have I not noticed? I guess it does make sense since he's tamantha's son but he doesn't even share her illusionary powers. Interesting....

Drdeath: And now you will DIE!

Drdeath tries to smash Freeze with a bottle but Freeze jumps out of the way.

Freeze: Weakling. All you do is touch kids. Get out of my face peasant.

Freeze freezes Drdeath and kicks him out of the way.

Rave claps

Rave: Bravo Freeze. You exposed and took care of the toucher of children.

Freeze: It was too easy Char. Scum like him make me sick.

Rave: Good job...well I must go now once again. Take care Freeze.

Rave goes back into the shadows

Freeze: Huh? What is that weirdo doing? Everybody's been acting all weird.

Luna's Lair

Rave appears besides Stew and looks up at Dean.

Rave: -sighs- How do we even tackle this?

Stew: Omg Char you really have to like be patient my plan will reveal EVERYTHING!

Rave: I understand that but Master Stew the properties of Rowlie's technique. It negates the reasonings of logic and overwrites their memories. Are you sure this can divert everyone back to normal?

Stew: tbh Char I can't really say, but before I finalize and commence this art, you must do what you can to create an opening.

Rave looks concerned

Rave: But how? That damned Rowlie. He's way too tactical. There's no way in hell I can outmaneuver him. It's not my style to plan things out to that magnitude.

Rave puts his hand on his head thinking, shakes his head, then turns to the group.

Rave: Alright secret underground group, we must figure out a way to save Nova from this manipulation. Scatter and return to me when you've come up with ideas.

the group bows and disappears.

Rave turns to Stew

Rave: Alright Stew. I shall continue to confront Nova. Wish me luck.

Stew holds up his hand to stop Rave.

Stew: No char. It's too dangerous for you to do alone. As one of few who aren't affected, we can't afford to lose you. At least not until my plan comes into fruition.

Rave: It'll be fine Stew. I'm a warrior. Plus even though my power has weakened, I still hold the phoenixian powers implanted deep within me. I won't die easily.

Rave disappears on his way back to Nova.

Nova Square

Nick: Tam is black right?

Mado: Are you an idiot?

Nick: Huh? Mado? What's going on?

Mado: Don't play dumb with me you imbecile. Spouting your ignorant nonsense. Correct yourself!

Nick: Wait is she not black? I-I didn't know. I wasn't saying I knew for certain I wasn't trying to make it out like that.

Mado: I'm tired of you constantly being so dumb. How about you do your research before opening your pathetic, uninformed mouth.

Mado starts charging his dark blaster.

Mado: Now Nick...Prepare to die!

Rave appears out of the shadows and grabs Mado's blaster arm.

Rave: No! I won't let you do it!

Mado: Char.....You insolent....RRAAAAAAAHHHH

Mado swats Rave away and Rave jumps back in front of Nick with his hand on his hilt.

Mado: Over....over and over...OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN! You keep putting your nose in my business! You will stand down if you know what's good for you.

Rave: You think I'm scared of you? The boy I trained how to fight? Get real. You're not alone with holding the dark power Mado.

The two standoff against each other as their dark auras begin to resonate.

Rave: Unlike you Mado, I've trained with the dark power, knowing how to utilize it and minimizing it's control. You don't understand that it's influencing you right now.

Mado: enough of this playing pretend. Stay out of my way now or else!

Rave smirks

Rave: Threatening me as if whatever punishments you wish to carry out will affect me is laughable.

Rave turns his head to Nick.

Rave: While you still have the chance run. I'll take care of this. As one who falls in line of those misunderstood, you are worthy of my protection.

Nick: So you are as well....ok fine but...please be careful.

Nick runs away.

Rave turns his head back at Mado.

Rave: hmph -puts defensive stance up-

Mado: You...Always me...you always choose the opportunities to pick on me! Why!?!? Leave me alone you troll!!!

Rave closes his eyes for a brief moment

Rave: You don't understand....and you will never as long as your mind stays as warped as it is.

Stew's spiritual construct casually floats upon the two and Rave looks with surprise.

Stew: Mado...You really were about to Deanify Nick.

Mado gets more and more visibly unhinged

Mado: Stop. Bringing. THAT UP!

Mado's dark powers continue to flare more and more out of control.

Rave puts up his dark cloak to try and resist the overwhelming energy.

Rave: Damn it! Are we provoking him too much? Ugh maybe this was a bad idea he can't control the dark power at all. It's making him go on a rampage.

Rowlie watches from above.

Rowlie: What is this? Mado's getting too out of control right now. He's deranging too much from himself. We can't have this happen or else people will start suspecting things. I must try to intervene.

Rowlie walks down and Rave looks at Rowlie unsurprised.

Rave: I knew you'd show up sooner or later. What are you trying to do now?

Rowlie: Still rebellious and illbrained as ever. I wonder if you're like that because of that unfortunate incident of yours.

Rave: I've always been a rebel.

Rowlie: Dear me. And I was trying to give you a viable reason for your idiocy. Missed your chance there pup. So let me ask you. Do you value Mado?

Rave: .....

Rowlie: Your silence is an answer in itself. Siuch a shame how pitiful you really are. A bully filled with disrespectful actions.

Rave: I'm not falling into your traps Rowlie. Whatever agenda you have you can save it. I'm not here for you.

Rowlie shakes his head.

Rowlie: hahaha and here I was trying to help you, Charizardf1. I have no hidden agenda but I'll allow you to go back to your nonsense.

Rowlie slowly walks away. As he walks away Rave looks at Mado exhausted.

Rave: (He did something...was he merely trying to distract me? Whatever he did Mado seems different now)

Stew speaks to Rave telepathically.

Stew: (hey so uuhhh. I think Rowlie just like...jigged Mado a bit.)

Rave: (I see....)

Mado holds his head shaking.

Mado: Urrgg....That's it. You two....I'll strip you of your identities.

Mado unleashes a heavy dark aura bubble upon both Stew and Rave.

Rave: W-what is this!?

Stew: He's resorted to using his domain powers! He's sapping away our very essence!

Rave: Oh no.....

Stew: He's stripped us naked. We're white!

Rave: It doesn't matter. It hasn't nerf'd us that much. We're fine.

Mado continues to lose himself and go out of control in a frenzy then draws his dark saberblade and looks at Rave with killing intent.

Mado: I've warned you both....This is it. The last and final time you'll get in my way!

Mado swiftly lunges at Rave as Rave goes for his hilt to try to block it but Freeze steps in between in a flash without anyone noticing.

Freeze: Stop! Both of you are idiots!

Freeze does a cold blast that blows them both back.

Freeze: You two will stop fighting. All of you people have been off lately. what is even going on!?

Rave: (What? I didn't even sense him.)

Rave tries to get a good look at Freeze and his eyes widen.

(It's....just like before)

-flashback-

Char: Young Mado....the potential within you is that of great purity. That power alone is rare. Said to be able to repel and triumph over any evil.

Mado: Wow sensei. Is it really that special?

Char: Yes it is. Hold on to this and you will forever shine amongst all others.

Mado smiles jumping playfully excited while Char smiles

-end flashback-

Rave: This is strange though. But Freeze he's...Tamantha's son. Raised to be harsh and lethal. Does the element of purity not stay exclusive to innocence? Huh....

Mado's darkness begins to fade, killing Mado's motivation to continue onward.

Mado: Ugh...Fr-Freeze?....

Freeze: What? Stop being dumb. We need to figure this out the right way.

Mado: I-I don't know what is even right anymore...

Freeze continues to speak to Mado while Rave watches from afar.

Rave: (It really is true...So Freeze is one of the chosen....just like Mado and I were.)

Rowlie watches from afar

Rowlie: How atrocious. Every single time I'm so close to ridding him for good, some stupid thing gets in the way and saves him. What a lucky buffoon.

Kris: What will we do now Lord Rowlie?

Rowlie: Nothing for now Kris. We need to see what comes next. I need to reevaluate the situation.

Kris: What about his secret organization sir?

Rowlie: Oh that? Pay them no mind for now it seems like his lackies are useless. They haven't even done anything yet....However I could utilize this to my advantage and convince Mado that they are influencing the scene with Char's nefarious planning.

Kris: You're so brilliant Lord Rowlie as always.

The two laugh maniacally as the scene darkens.

~~Chapter 5: Fate's Consequence~~

Freeze walks up to Rave after speaking with Mado.

Freeze: Char what is going on? Mado and you should not be fighting. Stop being a retard.

Rave: You wouldn't understand Free. Mado is being influenced by the darkness right now.

Freeze: What the fuck are you on about? Just be normal about this.

Rave shakes his head

Rave: This isn't a situation that can be handled normally Free...and I don't know what to do...

Rave puts his head down in sadness.

Freeze: Char.... Anyways I've noticed that a lot of people have been weird lately.

Rave looks back at Freeze.

Rave:(That's right...somehow Free isn't influenced. He has that power...) Right now the Novians are greatly influenced by a manipulative arte. Nobody is aware and nobody will believe me. There's nothing I can do but you...

Freeze: Char shut up I'm tired of this. Just try to be more reasonable to Mado and everything will be fine. I can be a mediator.

Rave: Hmm....well Free I may take you on that offer but for now I must leave.

Rave hands Freeze a card.

Rave: Consider joining my secret organization. All I wish is to reveal the truth and return things back to normal. Farewell, Free.

Rave disappears into the shadows.

Freeze: Bruh why can't this dude take this more seriously. Oh well fuck him. I just want people to chill out.

Later in Nova HQ

Mado: Ugh my head. What will I do about them? Somehow Freeze's presence calmed me down though. What is even going on?

???: You need to use your full authority. Destroy them Mado for Nova's peace.

Mado: What? But should I really?...

???: Don't let them do as they please. You've already taken their essence. Now you must finish them off. This is your domain. Rule it with an iron fist.

Mado: Yes....you are right. Those fools will pay for making a mockery of me. Just like with Dean, the hard choices must be made. Anyone who opposes me, those who challenge me, must be dealt with nomatter what. For the people.

the mysterious person smirks

???: Yes...now protect Nova as its ruler Mado.

Luna Lair

Rave appears next to Dean and looks up at him.

Rave: Dean....I promise your sacrifice will not be in vain.

Stew: Hey umm Char that was kinda wild. Our identities were taken in the blink of an eye.

Rave: Yeah it seems like the influence has really pushed him to the edge. I think we only made things worse for ourselves. Ugh this is such an annoying situation.

Stew: Omg Charizard I told you we should have just been patient. I'll just stand by from here on until I finish cooking my plan.

Rave: Yeah I think that should be the move. While you're doing that I will train the organization. I feel like the next time we cross paths in Nova, a war may break out. Whatever happens to me Stew, I put my trust that you will solve this once and for all.

Stew: That's really brave and honorable but I think that's kinda like...unnecessary. You should totally just wait until I'm finished hahaha.

Rave: Sorry Stew but I won't take the risk of waiting. Plus I am a warrior. I must fight until my last breathe. This is my style in which I'll always follow.

Stew shrugs

Stew: Umm ok Charizard whatever you say.

Rave: By the way Stew I'm sure you're aware but Free...

Stew nods

Stew: Yes Char I sensed it too. I'll keep it in mind.

Rave smiles and turns to his organization. Nick runs up to him.

Nick: Char I'm here to fight too. I want to join!

Rave: I see....Very well Nick. Welcome aboard. Together we will all liberate Nova and expose them all to the truths.

Rave swiftly turns his head into a corner and gazes.

Rave: Kris....

Kris walks from the corner facing Rave.

Kris: So you've known I was here... So what are you gonna do now? Kill me?

Rave: I've always been aware. I hope you understand that I don't care what you relay to Rowlie.

Kris: You know you can't hide anything from the great Lord Rowlie. He will always know all. You won't be able to get passed him. Just admit your defeat and he might spare you.

Rave: Pipe down Kris. I would rather not have to fight anyone, but I've been left without a choice. But make sure whenever you go back to him, tell him that I'm not backing down without a fight. He will pay for his ignorance and manipulation one way or another.

Kris laughs

Kris: How funny. Trying to threaten my perfect Lord. We will all share a laugh at your last attempts at intimidating us. Farewell Char. You will reap what you have sown.

Kris swiftly escapes back to Nova.

The Root

Kris: Lord Rowlie an update. Char has begun training his group and plans to attack Nova at some point. He has also threatened you by saying he'll kill you and torture Nova in spite for fun in revenge to display his evil ways.

Rowlie: How typical of him. Always trying to play around. What a nuisance and a barbarian. He will keep messing around and find out soon enough. For the future of Nova we must do what must be done. We shall kill Char so Nova can continue to thrive. That fool Mado despite my alterings still won't do the deed himself.

Kris: How noble of you Lord Rowlie. Nobody ever understands your brilliant ways.

Rowlie: It is because of me Nova has been protected from many threats. Char will not be immune to this. It's unfortunate because he was an interesting fellow. But he must be dealt with once and for all by any means necessary. Kris...initiate the brutal regimens. The root will not falter like last time.

Kris: understood.

Kris sets up the training for the root members.

Nova Streetcorner

Freeze walks around casually and Rowlie stands before him.

Rowlie: Hello Freeze.

Freeze: Huh hey Rowlie what's up?

Rowlie: Oh nothing. Just wanted to see how you were doing. How do you feel about events lately?

Freeze: I just think everyone's being very weird but things will be fine I guess.

Rowlie: Interesting...(The boy somehow isn't affected. Impossible.) Well then...what do you think of the Char and Mado situation. It's so unfortunate how that uneducated fool treats Mado.

Freeze: I think they are both dumb but yeah Char is kind of retarded. That's kind of normal. I think there might be some reason behind why he's acting like this though. And Mado is probably just caving under a lot of pressure from things.

Rowlie: What a peculiar perspective. (He seems to still give Char the benefit of doubt but the boy is being too naive. He must fall in line or else he'll figure things out soon. Now's the time.)

Rowlie activates his manipulation arte

Rowlie: Well Freeze I feel Char is a crazed barbarian that wishes to have his own way with his evil fun and take control over Nova. Don't you agree?

Freeze: What no Char's just a stubborn dumbass sometimes and handles things weirdly. I doubt it's anything that deep. Also what is wrong with your eyes?

Rowlie is shocked but immediately recovers his composure.

Rowlie: Huh?...I see... I disagree but I'll leave it at that. Good night to you Freeze.

Rowlie begins to walk away.

Rowlie:(Impossible...maybe it's because he's linked to that vile woman. No...it's not that. He is a special case. There must be some way I can sway him to the correct side. He could be a danger to my plans.)

Luna Lair

Freeze approaches Rave

Freeze: Char....

Rave: So Free. Have you made your decision?

Freeze: No Char but I have to ask. What is with you and Rowlie?

Rave pauses and sighs then walks the opposite way and stops looking into the distance.

Rave: Well free honestly I don't know exactly, however I may have an idea.

Rave turns and looks at Freeze.

Rave: In my past I walked the path of darkness. And due to that past I have etched an eternal perspective into the minds of Novians.

Freeze: Yeah Char I know. You was pretty unhinged and even dumber back then.

Rave: Right...Anyways I believe Rowlie has a huge chivalry for the people of Nova. Mado alongside his brother rule that land and Rowlie wishes to protect it at all cost through his own methods.

Freeze: So you believe he's after you?

Rave nods with his eyes closed disappointedly

Rave: Right.... The position I'm in upon his own perspective is an enigma in itself. He can't let go of how he wishes to view me and thus he's gone to extreme measures to ensure his truths are spread upon Nova. He feels I am trying to deceive Nova and wishes to stop me.

Freeze: Wow...It makes sense why he approached me the other night then. He tried to sway me too.

Rave: He must have noticed that you're special by now which is why he approached you directly. He's likely highly aware you're immune to his artes now. You must be careful Free.

Freeze: I'll be fine this is not that deep Char I'm just curious because I'm out of the loop of all this. So what do you plan to do Char?

Rave: Well Free... All I can do is fight. I don't know what else to do right now. I'll risk my life fighting for my beliefs. And I know Stew will be able to resolve everything in the event that I get taken down.

Freeze: What the hell Char why does it have to go this far? From how I see things you both just wish the best for Nova. Can't you just work together?

Rave shakes his head

Rave: I wish it could be that simple but...all sides are at a stubborn point. We all view each other as a threat so naturally whoever comes out on top will be the one to decide things.

Freeze: You idiots...I will not take any part in all of this. You're all fighting for no reason! This is all some kind of miscommunication.

Rave: I understand your sentiment...and I follow the logic, but the situation carved right now doesn't allow for simple peace negotiations. When multiple sides are stuck to their own visions of peace, war is conjured until the one left standing gets to decide the fate of all.

Freeze: How pathetic. The lot of you. You're all so stubborn. What about everyone else's feelings? You're all being selfish.

Freeze leaves.

Rave closes his eyes in sadness

Rave: I wonder....will you come to save us...Free? As the new chosen one of purity? Or will we all drown in the clash of darknesses that corrupt us?

A short time passes as everyone trains and awaits the final confrontation to decide the fate of Nova. The underground organization, the Root, and Mado prepare themselves for the day to come.

Nova Square

Rave appears in the middle of Nova square with his organization. Mado gets called by the frightened Novians and he swiftly approaches Rave.

Mado: So you've decided to show yourselves. Is this going to be an invasion?

Rave stands firmly before Mado. Overriding the identity nerf with his mask.

Rave: That's right Mado. I'll do anything to ensure the people within my organization's names are cleared and the truth brought to light. Unless you stand down and actually try to hear us out, we have no choice but to fight.

Mado: You fool! You have no grounds to be heard anymore. You are a selfish traitor. You would rather storm us and stir chaos for your own nefarious goals than move on and keep the peace. I won't let you obstruct me any longer. Prepare to die Char.

Rowlie appears with his root members.

Rowlie: Worry not Mado. That clown will be taken care of with no hesitation. At any costs!

Rowlie sets off traps around Nova that resonates and amplifies his artes. The Novians begin to start a frenzy.

Rave looks around.

Rave: Oh no...damnit. MY MEMBERS REMEMBER TO HOLD ONTO THE FEATHERS I GAVE TO YOU!

Rave's organization each have feathers that keeps them with high resistance to illusionary artes.

Rowlie: Now then. All Novians will pitch in the chaos. This war will even more so ensure that you will not come out of this alive, Charizardf1. There's no escape for you.

Rave sweats as he's hugely outnumbered, surrounded by Frenzic Novians. Who out of everyone will come ontop in this dilemma?
