Chapter 12 Reflection
Fear. When Drago was in his middle school years, 0mi was an Australian man that tried seeking revenge on Drago. He was a troll and needed to quench his boredom during Christmas break. He injected fear into Drago, making him believe that his goons would be after him and kill him. Drago lost countless hours of sleep that Christmas break. He left Novastormchat for a couple of weeks. This was the first time Drago felt like he was going to die. He had many repeated nightmares of falling off a cliff and dying. Even though this occurred, Drago would never be able to hate 0mi. He probably had his reasons for seeking revenge, Drago thought. Drago was a firm believer that the environment people live in shapes their attitude. Perhaps 0mi was not loved enough as a child. Perhaps 0mi wanted to feel better about himself by inflicting his wounds onto another, Drago thought.

Everyone knew Codie as the tsundere of Novastormchat. Codie hated everyone and everything for the sake of it. The only thing that he cherished in the whole world was his dear Slowpoke. Codie did not keep his hatred for Drago a secret at all. Ever since Drago joined Nova, Codie would always tell Drago to go away. Drago should go to a different chat. He should go back to his furry roleplay chats. He should kill himself. Drago does not deserve to live. In fact, all Youtopians should die, Codie exclaimed. All of this was true except for the last sentence. It was easy for Codie to say, “kill yourself Drago,” but if killing yourself was that easy, Drago would have already done it. Drago would never come to hate Codie. He felt that Codie’s mantras were inefficient. Codie saying, “kill yourself Drago” every day became equivalent to a greeting like “Hello Drago.” Drago learned to ignore him. Eventually, Codie just stopped trying to annoy Drago.

Codie thought Drago was creepy. Drago bought the Pupitar account when Codie could have just given the account to Drago for five dollars. Later, Drago bought the Bagon account when Codie could have just given it to Drago for free. Many people like Chris and Talon became ashamed of Drago. Chatango was dying after all, so what was the point of buying original accounts? Drago did not know or care. He hardly spent his money on anything aside from school. He felt trapped. He needed a way to escape. He wanted some form of happiness. I need to reward myself after all this hard work, he thought to himself. Drago felt that buying an account could refresh his soul and give him light. He was not targeting Codie in any way; his ownership of the accounts was not a factor in Drago’s purchasing decisions. Drago loved dragon Pokémon and Tyranitar was one of his favorite Pokémon outside of the Dragon type.

Codie was paranoid. Just how many accounts did Drago buy that I owned, Codie thought to himself. Drago felt bad for his paranoia. Perhaps I should have bought a different account instead. I did not want to make anyone suffer, Drago thought to himself.

Onox was a strange creature. He adapted some of Drago’s weird bot tendencies. Onox would occasionally use the -urban command or -define command when he did not know what a word meant. Onox would occasionally remember random people and use the -seen command. However, Onox was selfish. He would use the -hide command himself several times to stop Drago’s rampage, yet he would continue to use the bot. He did not know the meaning of “sharing is caring.” Despite this, Drago would never come to hate Onox. Onox was a creature that ought to be cherished, Drago thought. Onox was great at smash and great at Pokémon. Onox was also Nova’s comic relief. His fish story and stolen reddit shower thoughts were the parts that Drago loved most about him.

Freezingbadlybutcool. The one Drago feared the most. Many of Drago’s decisions were a byproduct of Freeze’s actions. Freeze could not tolerate Drago’s use of best bot Bros one bit. Freeze constantly hid Bros and told Drago to go to projectbros, but to no avail. Freeze could not cure Novastormchat of the annoyance that was Drago. Freeze would often tell Drago things like “I’ll pray for your death” to which Drago would respond with “The Drago religion has now been born.” Freeze would constantly tell Drago things like “Kill yourself” just like old Codie. Drago did not understand him. Freeze had no form of respect, yet he was still a moderator. One time, Freeze banned Dragonite1127 for using an account that looked similar to his. Without a doubt, Freeze was not well-versed with Novastormchat’s rules.

Drago even did many favors for Freeze hoping that Freeze would one day see some good in him. Drago gave him a Mew in Pokémon, for example, yet Freeze did not showcase any respect when talking to him. Drago would help Freeze on his Calculus homework, giving him detailed steps to guide him in understanding the problem. Freeze found out that he did not properly use the Chain Rule thanks to Drago. However, the very next minute, Freeze would start his rampage. Freeze blocked Drago on Bros reminds and would constantly hide best bot Bros so that only the moderators could use Bros. This was the abusive moderator known as Freezingbadlybutcool. Freeze hated Drago and wanted him to leave Nova forever.

Even though Freeze hated Drago to death, Drago could never hate Freeze. In fact, he loved Freeze’s comedic behavior. Therefore, Drago made the account looctubylDABgnizeerf. He was not trying to offend Freeze with this but rather show respect to him. Drago hopes that one day Freeze would change his ways. Maybe one day Freeze would drop the tsundere act and start showing his devotion to Drago, Drago thought.

Similarly, Natsux was a new novian. He still had much to learn about the history of all Nova’s users. Through Drago’s Bros usage, Natsux learned early on that Drago was an irrelevant soul that deserved death. Drago had no idea of countering the words of both Freeze and Natsux. Freeze was the one with power after all and could ban Drago at any minute. Freeze did not ban Drago because he liked seeing him cry in pain and suffering. Freeze got exactly what he wanted.

Around this time, Drago finally presented the evidence needed to prove that Goomer was a pedophile and that Kitty and Goomer were currently together. Novastormchat was out of control that night. Drago felt anxious about discussing it on Nova because of HMado’s dislike of discussing the Kitty and Goomer topic. Drago tried to warn everyone that they should stop discussing the Goomer topic because HMado might end up banning everyone. However, HMado was under the false impression that Drago was being sarcastic. HMado did not fully fathom the meaning of Drago’s words nor did he fathom the consequence of his subsequent actions. The *hides* was the cheap way out of things. It was 12AM and Drago had no energy or motivation to explain anything. At that moment, Drago fully regretted contributing to the Goomer conversation and presenting his evidence to Novastormchat.

HMado did not care about Drago in the slightest. He did not explain the reasoning behind Drago’s ban and did not say if he would ever be unbanned. A good admin or moderator ought to seek an understanding of the one they banned. What did Drago’s words truly mean? HMado would never realize. Staff members should tell the user what rule they broke in private messages. Staff members should give warnings to the user before a ban occurs. The rules should also be present in a conspicuous place.

Anyone can turn on you and betray you at any minute and HMado was no different. Thus, the color that Drago saw in HMado quickly turned into a grey nothingness. Drago was reminded of the trauma when the girl he loved ghosted him. Drago was also reminded of his trauma that occurred when Charizardf1 banned him from Youtopia. Drago would have to start all over. He would have to find new chats. A new home. But what was the point if people would just betray you again?

Chapter 14 Korenime-Official
            Both Drago’s online world and offline world withered away. He felt as if he had no one to trust, no one he could rely on. But best bot Bros was there for him like always. By using the -seen command and -rank command, Drago found a new chat: korenime-official.

            Perhaps if I try to seek comfort in a foreign land, I could start all over, Drago thought. Korenime-official was where Drago’s relationships could be set to zero. No one would hate him. He could befriend new people and learn unique things. At first, people were shocked that an outsider entered their chat. Many only knew basic English and could only say coherent thoughts in their own Indonesian language.

            Korenime-official was linked to an anime-streaming website where Indonesians could watch anime with Indonesian subtitles. Drago did not care for this aspect of the website. He would only use the chat to alleviate his loneliness. Many bots were there: Azusafreya, Kairy, and best bot Bros to name a few.

            Kairy was a new beast that Drago had yet to tame. She had many pleasurable commands that Bros did not offer: blackjack, coin flip, google image search, and a functional YouTube command. Most users relied on Kairy for fun. However, Drago simply did not feel right when using Kairy. Bros was the one and only bot that could satisfy Drago.

            Drago made many new friends at korenime-official. Timunkekar was korenime’s 2D and 3D waifu poster; he owned a separate chat that Drago would frequently visit to masturbate. Bokutage12 was an active user that Drago could easily interact with; he was one of the members that knew more English than most. Tidakterdaftar was a Monogatori lover. Acekendret was known as the hikkikomori. Peroroni was the silver-haired anime girl appreciator. The most special member to Drago was Skewermage.

Skewermage became Drago’s “bepen” (literally best friend). Drago would talk about what living in America was like; Skewermage would talk about what living in Indonesia was like. They would exchange pictures of what their rooms looked like; they would show each other what they cooked for dinner. Even though Skewermage was not that proficient at English, Drago loved talking to him. They would occasionally argue about who the best girl was in Re:Zero. Drago argued for the silver-haired girls, whereas Skewermage argued for Rem. But who is Rem? Skewermage would invite Drago to the korenime-official Discord server and the Nekopoi Discord server. Skewermage would try to help Drago in any way possible, often listening to what he was depressed about.

Drago felt less lonely. Someone would finally listen to him. Skewermage never once showed hatred toward Drago. Skewermage trusted Drago’s every word. Occasionally, Drago would get too comfortable at korenime-official. He would try asking kisses from random users, but no one wanted to kiss him back. Drago would have to stick to ASMR porn if he wanted kisses and headpats.

Drago began to use Bros at korenime-official instead of projectbros. However, none of the members knew how to use bros at the time; they only knew how to use Kairy. It was through observing Drago that the members learned the basics of Bros. Drago’s meaningless bot definitions inspired other members to create loads of meaningless bot definitions. Drago was not the only one in the world that was on the quest for ultimate knowledge. Bokutage12 obtained 1000+ Bros definitions; Zavents obtained 3200+ definitions, exceeding Drago’s meager 2900+ definitions. Drago was not the craziest Bros user. There was someone more bizarre than him after all that wanted their thirst for knowledge to be quenched.

Drago would remain active on korenime-official for a while. However, he ultimately realized the worthlessness of the chat. There were never deep, intellectual conversations. The chat only existed for people to spam bot commands and exchange unfunny jokes. Eventually, Drago only stayed at korenime-official to use best bot Bros and to talk with either Skewermage or Peroroni.

Chapter 15 Cartoonshow
Along with korenime-official, Drago would also have Cartoonshow open in his multi-chat tab. Drago learned of this website long ago during his high school years where he would watch anime every day. After HMado’s cruel treatment, Drago went back to Cartoonshow because it was the only alive English Chatango chat that he could remember visiting. Drago did try going to animeotakuchatroom, but some of the members warned him of the dangers that the chat was associated with, so he ran away cowered in terror.

Drago met a familiar face upon his arrival at Cartoonshow. It was Claw. Drago tried greeting a fellow novian, but he got an unexpected response: “I don’t know you.” Why did Claw say such a thing? What evil sins had Drago committed against her? Drago could not recall.

Drago did not notice Claw’s appearance in Novastormchat for years. He was too preoccupied with school to notice when any new members joined. He figured that it must have been someone on an alternate account. Drago’s only known memory of disrespecting Claw was when Claw’s full profile picture porn was one of furry porn; Drago showcased his disgust with the profile picture and established a bad relationship with Claw. However, Drago did not hate Claw; Drago simply did not understand her well enough. He hoped that she would explain the reasons behind her sexual tastes, the motivation behind her profile pictures, but that was naught but wishful thinking.

Claw did not keep her strong dislike toward Drago a secret. According to Claw, Drago was a part of Char’s clan. Everyone apart of Char’s clan is always evil. Furthermore, Drago was an autistic kid who was bad at math and should be disliked because Drago is Char’s roleplay son. Those were the views that Claw held. Drago never denied these accusations. He knew that it was true. He was failing his mathematics course and Chemistry course. In the real world, he was a bad restaurant cashier, often shortchanging his customers with change.

Chapter 16 Char’s Most Evil Act
Char was undoubtedly evil. For one thing, he banned Drago from Youtopia for two years. One day in Youtopia, Young Drago was curious about the true meaning of Char’s username “Charizardf1.” Young Drago thought that the “f” in “f1” meant “fatty” or “female,” whereupon Char’s hatred for Drago began growing. Young Drago then got into an argument that he was also the number one fan of Charizards, which annoyed Char. He needed to protect his name and his reputation. So, Char began to conduct a couple of pop quiz questions for Drago to see who was truly worthy of the title “Charizard fan #1.”

2. What is the gender ratio for Charmander?

3. What Pokémon originally had the same cry as Charizard?

Worst of all, Drago only had five seconds to answer each question because Char suspected Drago of being a cheater. No one could possibly answer such a question in under five seconds; people would need time to think before giving a response. Char did not care. He simply wanted Drago to stop fantasizing over Charizard. He wanted Drago to know his place. There could only be one Charizard in Youtopia, Char proclaimed.

Drago did not listen. Instead, he made the account Megacharizardf2. In that instant of the account creation, Drago was permabanned from Youtopia. At that moment, the fiery burning flame that was Charizardf1 quickly turned into a colorless void of evilness. Thus, Drago would wander across the chats of Chatango and become a roleplayer. He was an active member on Tgarr and occasionally joined theeeveeclan. Things never felt the same, though. There would always be an empty void in him. He would feel depressed when trying to roleplay with others; it felt insincere. It was like avoiding reality.

Even in his middle school days, Drago would ponder what it really meant to die. Did heaven exist? Do all people that masturbate go to hell? Would I be reincarnated? What is the point of reincarnation if one does not possess the same memories from their previous lives? Does the universe have an end? Since everything dies, what would happen to Earth once the Sun dies? Does there exist any other planet with life like Earth?

Drago would message Charizardf1 every other month asking him when he would be unbanned. Charizardf1 kept telling Drago not to private message him anymore; he was permabanned. But Drago could not help it. He had no one else to turn to. He disliked being confined to Chatango roleplay rooms. But one day Char felt generous. He promised Drago to unban him two years after the day he was originally banned on; asking Char any more about his ban would extend the ban.

Upon arriving at Novastormchat through Bros for the first time, Char realized that Drago was a changed man. Drago had matured. As such, Char unbanned Drago from Youtopia a couple of months earlier than originally promised.

Drago never once hated Char. He knew that what he had done in Youtopia was wrong. He deserved his punishment for irritating the moderators of Youtopia. He was being a douchebag. Despite this, Drago hoped that one day Char would forgive him and unban him. Drago was patient. Drago stuck around the whole time and did not leave Char’s side.

Char felt bad about what his actions caused Drago. Drago went through Chatango hell and back. Drago would occasionally share his family stories to Char and other novians and how their parents refused to get along. Feeling sympathy for him, Char adopted Drago. Eventually, Char gave Drago access to his alternate accounts. Drago loved Char as if he were his real father.

Char would share his accounts with Drago. Char would buy Drago the Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 4 game on the 3DS. Char would buy Drago the Re:Zero switch game. He was a father unlike any other.

Claw would never understand the deep relationship and past between Char and Drago. Her feeble mind could only simplify their relationship as being one that was fraught with villainy. Drago could understand Claw’s point of view. Char could be a bit moody sometimes; he would show his dislike toward furries and would poke fun of others for a good laugh. Ultimately, Claw failed to realize that patience would always save the day.

Chapter 17 Rennet Versus Claw
While Drago was banned from Novastormchat, Drago had the opportunity to talk with Rennet. Rennet was a coding expert and Drago began to learn the basics of python with him through a Discord coding class he was teaching. Knowing how to code is essential today, Drago thought. Learning how to code would take his mind off the many people that hated Drago. Drago felt better in cartoonshow. Nobody knew him enough to develop feelings of hatred toward him yet. Even Rennet did not remember who Drago was because he did not visit Nova too often.

But then there was Claw. The only person that knew Drago. Claw was a confusing individual. If she claimed to not know Drago, then why was she interfering with Drago’s life? Claw got into an argument with Rennet, asserting that everyone in Novastormchat is stupid except for Freezy. Freezy is the only one who matters, Claw stated with admiration. Perhaps Claw felt this way because Freeze is the only one who made hating Drago into a religion. But Claw was blind to the truth. She could not distinguish Drago from Char. They were two different human beings with different end goals.

Claw gave Rennet a choice: break up with Drago or be put on Claw’s hate list. Rennet chose to defend Drago. Drago could not believe his eyes. Someone was defending him. Rennet was refuting the negative claims about Drago being an idiot. Moreover, Rennet was the one that saw firsthand just how hardworking Drago was during his class.

But Rennet did not have to do this to himself. Drago was living a sad existence. Anyone that was friends with someone that associates with Char was an enemy to Claw. Rennet was saddened by this realization. Perhaps Claw was simply jealous of Drago because she did not know how to code, Rennet thought. In the end, Claw was just being dramatic to deepen Drago’s depression. Both continued their relationship as if no argument occurred between them.

Drago was in denial. His brain could not handle the incessant pain. Thus, he convinced himself that people were hating him because they loved him. They were just being tsundere. If people truly hated Drago, they would just ghost Drago like what the girl from his junior year of high school.

“Pain is the new pleasure.” Perhaps if I tried to befriend Claw and act nice towards her, Claw’s attitude would change, Drago thought. Subsequently, Drago declared his love for Claw; he began to cuddle her through roleplay. Drago secretly wanted to erotic roleplay with someone, but he never got the chance to. He would hope that Claw would be the one to teach him the basics. Drago claimed that Claw was the only thing on his mind for the past few days. Drago loved the compliments that Claw was feeding him. It was sexually provoking. It was addicting. Drago wanted to hear more compliments that described him that went beyond “dumbass” and “autistic.” However, Claw’s vocabulary was very limited or perhaps Claw was too afraid to talk to Drago any further because this was all probably an elaborate scheme of Char’s. Drago failed to realize that Claw was not Kitty; no one could ever give Drago the pleasure that Kitty once gave Drago.

Surprisingly, Claw reacted toward this. If Claw truly hated Drago, then Claw would not have reacted at all or would have dismissed this roleplay as being too unrealistic to engage in. Drago’s tactics did not work. Nova’s hate continued to rain down upon him and repeating the mantra “pain is the new pleasure” did not work out. Despite this, Drago could never hate Claw. Drago firmly believed that the environment we were raised in affects our worldviews; perhaps Claw was unable to show his appreciation toward Drago because of childhood trauma. Drago is a patient soul. He would wait for the day where Claw would ask Drago to forgive her and to accept her friendship.

Chapter 18 Uwuchan01 Part 4
Upon his return, HMado showed no sympathy for Drago. He unbanned Drago like nothing ever happened. He was playing with Drago’s emotions just like Freeze and Unright. He was another betrayer. In Drago's eyes, HMado had already lost color.

Meanwhile, there was another entity that was not satisfied with their thirst for blood. Uwuchan01 was back to cause a couple of more blows to Drago’s fragile mind. Bored one day, Drago connected to projectbros and wanted to discover more of Bros’ easter eggs. Wanting to learn more about the -e621 command, Drago tried searching up some furry artwork. However, Drago learned that the -e621 command was broken; instead of showing furry artwork, Bros would disconnect and reconnect to all rooms. Drago would abuse this command to see how the people of korenime-official would react. Conversely, Uwuchan01 saw Drago spamming “-e621” on projectbros and concluded that Drago must be a “pedophile.” Hasty generalizations were Palla’s specialty.

Similarly, Talon and Chris became suspicious of Drago’s profile pictures. Why would Drago always have a random anime girl as his profile picture, they wondered. Drago would post pictures of best girl Petra and best girl Beatrice to show his appreciation toward those who deserved more attention. Curious of his obsession, Talon asked Drago if he liked lolis.

However, Drago could never give a straight answer to even the simplest of questions. But Drago knew answering the question would lead to more questions about his odd behaviors, which he would rather avoid. Perhaps Talon thought that Drago was a pedophile.

People were calling Drago autistic. People were telling Drago to leave Nova. People were trying to ruin Drago’s relationship on other chats. People were claiming that Drago was a pedophile. Worst of all, Drago’s best friend HMado turned against Drago.

Dago had no energy or motivation to defend himself. It would never do him any good and no one would consider the weight of his words because he was autistic. No one would ever understand me or believe the truth; if I told everyone that I masturbated to sound porn, they would just laugh at me and I would humiliate myself, Drago thought. A thought occurred to Drago: what if I just give the people what they want and accept their absurd claims? Maybe the perpetual hatred for me would stop then, Drago thought.

Agony, terror, turbidity, ruin, hatred, madness. Drago surrendered to the enemy, hoping that the bullying would stop. Drago would call himself a pedophile on Nova and on best bot Bros, despite him being underage. Drago would also showcase signs of being suicidal.

Chapter 19 Sidequest
            Perhaps it was Kynadee and Monchis who brought Drago back to his senses. Drago once heard that when one feels depressed, they should change their environment. Maybe listening to music with an unfamiliar group of people would help calm my unstable mind, Drago thought. Thus, Drago joined Naid’s discord through Kynadee’s link and would listen to music with Naid’s group.

            Drago was not used to the musical tastes of Kynadee and Monchis and would call them “normies.” Offended by this, Kynadee wanted to hear what Drago had to offer. At first, Drago refused to put on anything. He felt as if he did not deserve to make new friends. He felt like they would make fun of his musical tastes. If Kynadee had not threatened to ban Drago for not putting on music, Drago would have most likely remained slothful.

            Drago put on anime openings and some JPOP. He was surprised that Kynadee and Monchis were respecting individuals. They were different from regular novians that would not hesitate to hate Drago. Monchis and Kynadee would question Drago’s sanity and thought he knew better than to call himself a pedophile. Hearing the words spoken out loud, Drago felt ashamed of what happened to him. People would attack him, but he did not know how to properly attack back. Instead, Drago just made himself look worse.

Drago began to have nightmares again. This time, he dreamt that Naid would start to hate Drago, just like everyone else at Nova. She would tell Drago to stop talking to her and she would want nothing to do with Drago. These nightmares soon turned into reality. The colors that were once in Naid soon disappeared. Conversely, Rowlie reassured Drago that Naid has no soul so he should not care anyway.

            Drago felt honored for having once held the qualifications to be in Naid’s server. But this honor soon turned to disappointment and grief. To Drago, memories were painful illusions of the past. Drago would have to look elsewhere if he wanted a permanent place to fit in.

            Meanwhile, Drago would avoid Nova because of moderator Freeze’s abusive nature. He would socialize with Skewermage at korenime-official, trying his best to translate his thoughts about suicide into the Indonesian language. Drago would also retreat to korenime-official and the Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo Discord server.

            However, Drago would occasionally run into the enemy at projectbros. Palla would act like calling someone a pedophile was not that big a deal. The next minute, she was comparing me to Charizardf1 and said that both Drago and Char were dramatic. But Char did not talk to Palla, so this did not make sense in the slightest. Perhaps Palla read Nova’s conversations while she was lurking even though she was banned. But why did she care so much about Nova? Perhaps she had no other place to turn towards.

            Drago was shocked. Uwuchan01 would take the statement back of Drago being a pedophile that affected many days’ worth of productivity. It was through one of Uwuchan01’s attacks that Nova first began realizing Drago was going to korenime-official. The people there helped Nova eliminate Kairy by tracking down the owner. Korenime-official individuals would sometimes join Novastormchat through Drago’s biography. However, they all lacked coherence. Nova’s English was too strong for most of them, so most simply chose to observe the novians.

Skewermage was their representative. He would try his best to communicate with the novians. People would try to bully Skewermage, but he would remain oblivious to all forms of hate due to the language barrier. It came to Drago’s attention that Uwuchan01 was talking to Skewermage behind the scenes. Not only that, but Uwuchan01 would frequently visit korenime-official and observe Drago’s many attempts at trying to kiss the people there. Skewermage would try to figure out Drago’s relation with Palla, but Drago denied any such relationship. What exactly was her end goal? Eventually, Skewermage gave up at trying to decipher the alien code that was the English language. No one from korenime-official permanently stayed, as expected.

Chapter 21 Chris

Question: What is the evilest thing Drago has ever done?

Answer:

            I was not friends with anyone because I was considerate of them. My existence was merely a burden to others. I was nothing but a maggot. This was how Drago viewed himself. But there was one instance where Drago did hold a friendship.

            Drago’s biggest regret was becoming friends with Chris. No, not the Chris from Nova but a Chris from the real world. Drago would befriend Chris in his freshman year of high school through Geometry class. They would talk about whatever came to mind: Pokémon, cute girls, family problems, and the future. As the years progressed, Drago soon realized how meaningless their friendship was. Chris ended up taking Geometry more than 5 times in his high school career and took the most basic classes possible, whereas Drago’s schedule consisted mostly of AP classes. Drago was always busy in a college class during the summer, whereas Chris was busy being slothful. Drago was busy working during the weekends, whereas Chris was busy doing nothing.

Chris was a hikkikomori. He was fearful of social interactions. He was terrible at studying; he had a meager 2.18 GPA. Chris would joke about applying to UC schools alongside Drago, but Drago felt sorry for him. Drago did not have the heart to throw away their friendship. Ever since the day that girl rejected her, he knew full well what real pain felt like. Drago did not want to inflict this pain upon any other individual.

Drago would get Chris into anime, Pokémon, and Super Smash Brothers. They would regularly play during Anime Club and sometimes during the summer. They would watch the latest anime movie in their nearby theater. They would sometimes hang out on the weekends and go to parks.

            Chris never learned from his mistakes. He would always forget to pay Drago back when borrowing money and would resort to making up excuses. He would promise to attend an event but end up canceling plans on Drago sometimes without any warning. But Drago kept him around because he had no one else. Thinking about it now, Drago regretted not spending the energy to form meaningful, lasting relationships during high school. He should have found someone better to spend time with and joke around with.

            Drago could have joined Gardening Club, Chess Club, Magic and Gathering Club, Cross Country, or even a conspiracy club. Even though Drago was in Robotics Club and Anime, he was not too close to any of the members. There was so much potential back then to become someone else, someone better, Drago thought.

            Chris did not know what he would do today, tomorrow, or ten years in the future. “It’s not about the journey. It’s about the destination” was a quote that he lived by. Chris did not know what he wanted to major in college. Chris did not even have a part-time job. Sometimes, Chris did feel like he was unqualified for Drago’s friendship. Drago was way beyond something Chris would ever be capable of. Chris admitted that he was a slothful individual.

            Their arguments would seem pointless to Drago. Drago was irritated at looking at the many logical fallacies that Chris would use in his arguments. Rarely did he admit that Drago was right.

On August 3, 2020, right before Drago’s first semester of college, Drago lost all hope for Chris. At the time, Drago was deeply invested into the Re:Zero anime. He wanted Chris to start watching it too. Prior to this, Drago has introduced Chris to some of his favorite anime like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Welcome to the NHK. But Chris refused to admit that Re:Zero could actually be any good. He started throwing insults at Drago.

All of the passion Drago had for Re:zero summarized in four words: “Subaru just fucking dies.” Drago lost all respect for Chris. Thus, the color that was once in Chris dissipated into the atmosphere, leaving only black and white in his soul. Drago had a deep emotional attachment to the anime, and he did not want to hear any more insults. Emilia and Echidna were Drago’s only reason for living at the time—his deep love for silver-haired anime girls prevented him from dying. Chris would always hold onto the notions that he was right before trying something out for himself. Who was he to say this about Re:Zero without watching one episode?

Drago ended up blocking Chris and ghosting him without any warning—just like what that girl did to him in 2019. He knew that what he was doing was probably bad for Chris. But Drago came to the same realization that the girl did. Yes, you could keep a stray cat with you and help it out, but there would not be any point. The cat cannot think for itself and is dependent on a caregiver. Abandoning the cat would help the cat grow and learn. The cat would realize how worthless he was if left by himself. He would learn that he needed to grow and become a better person for himself.

At the same time, Drago needed a rest from all these logical fallacies. He also felt that he could not keep Chris around when the school year started. There were many other people out there at his new school willing to listen to the opinions of others without dismissing them or disrespecting the other individual greatly. They would not steal people’s money. They would not cancel on plans. They would be more reliable, Drago thought.

Thus, Drago put an end to his one and only friendship. In essence, Drago would never get to experience true friendship, not even in college. Drago believed that people only faked liking you to use you. Perhaps ghosting Chris was a bad move for Drago because he would ultimately descend deep into Bros over-usage. Drago would occasionally think about what Chris was doing and whether his life improved or not since the day he ghosted Chris.

Chapter 22 A Fake Re:Zero Fan

In late November, another unknown user with the name “NotEmilia” arrived at Nova. This was a parody of Drago’s account username “NotEmilia.” Could this be someone trying to mock Drago? Who would do such a thing? Could it be Freeze? Or maybe Talon? Or maybe could this be another one of Uwuchan01’s attacks to ruin Drago’s reputation?

It was clear that NotEmilia was an oddball and did not know how to properly talk to novians. She did not even know how to successfully implement a profile picture, and it was the worst possible choice for an Emilia profile. People did not give NotEmilia attention because they were too focused on their games, however. Roleplaying did not help NotEmilia either. Outsiders always have a rough transition when they join Novastormchat.

NotEmilia would end up getting banned by Rowlie. Perhaps Rowlie was offended at this troll for making Re:Zero look bad. A true Re:Zero fan would not start bullying people. A true Re:Zero fan would respect people’s opinions. A true Re:Zero fan would have a beautiful profile picture, not a mediocre one.

Despite this, NotEmilia would lurk on Novastormchat for another day. She was targeting her enemy Dragonite1127. When Drago was on the next day, NotEmilia private messaged him. However, Drago blocked her. Drago thought that this name was offensive and disrespectful to him. She was not a true Re:Zero fan. She was trying to upset me, Drago thought.

The meaning of the username “NotSatella” came from the Re:Zero light novel volume 1. When Emilia first introduced herself in Subaru’s first life, she called herself “Satella” perhaps because she wanted to scare Subaru off. Emilia felt that she was not worthy of other people helping her find her insignia. Subaru finds on a couple of lives later that “Satella” was not the girls’ true name. From here on until Emilia’s name was revealed, the book’s narrator refers to Emilia as “Not-Satella.” This was the origin of the “NotSatella” username for Drago’s account.

However, NotEmilia failed to recognize this crucial fact. She was probably a filthy anime-only watcher, Drago thought. While account hopping, NotEmilia would continuously try to get a hold of Drago in private messages, whereby Drago would counter with a block. NotEmilia responded with “don’t block me anymore.” A part of Drago hoped for something more. Maybe NotEmilia had something good to offer. Maybe she could teach Drago the basics of erotic roleplaying, something Claw failed to do.

Therefore, Drago gave NotEmilia his Discord. However, it seemed like this account was newly created because there was no profile picture. Drago could not quite read her intentions. She seemed suspicious. “Kitty let’s play Roblox,” Drago said hoping that Kitty finally returned to him. Instead, NotEmilia responded with “Who’s Kitty?” Drago really missed Kitty.

Could this finally be 0mi getting revenge on me after all these years? Moreover, why was this person even talking to me? Did they want to hear my depressing thoughts? Was this Talon trying to find more information about me to prove that I was a pedophile? These questions were what filled Drago’s mind as they talked.

“Stop being paranoid,” replied NotEmilia to Drago’s endless curiosity. What followed these mediocre responses were words with an ominous tone to them. She did not even know about the Re:Zero greed if story; how disgusting! Fake! And who was Drago pushing away? What was he going to regret?

Drago eventually tracked down the identity of “NotEmilia.” Drago accused her of being Chris. At first, he meant the Chris from Nova but it turned out to be the Chris Drago knew from in real life. The one he ghosted several months ago. Perhaps Chris was lonely and bored during Thanksgiving break. Perhaps Chris wanted to have one last conversation with Drago again before saying goodbye forever. Or perhaps Chris just wanted the last word to this conversation.

“It’s not so much about the destination but rather about the journey.” Something Chris would state several times that it became so annoying to hear from him. And those were his last words to Drago. Drago did not feel bad about ghosting him, but Chris probably got the wrong idea. Drago never once hated Chris; if time were unlimited, he would be able to fool around with him for a little while longer. But that is not the case.

Drago needed to dedicate his time into studying for a college degree. They were merely going their own separate ways in life. Chris knew deep down that this end would come one day. Conversing with Chris seemed pointless now that high school was over, Drago thought. If Chris were more hardworking and more enthusiastic about life rather than being a shut-in, perhaps Drago would have not ghosted Chris.

Ironically, Chris posted Drago back after he sent that last message. He wanted some form of payback. Maybe he was expecting Drago to be angry. Or maybe Chris could not stand the pain of talking with an old friend that ghosted him. If Chris did not block Drago, perhaps Drago would have forgiven him for his harsh words and preconceptions about Re:Zero. But this day would never come. Drago never found out if Chris watched Re:Zero or if his opinion on Re:Zero ever changed. This was the last anyone ever heard from “NotEmilia.”

Chapter 23 Dragobot1127

Drago was the one who played Super Smash Bros with HMado when no one else could. Drago was the one who got HMado into the Roy character. It was true that HMado banned Drago. It was true that HMado was part of the reason Drago started to slowly lose all hope.

But HMado was the one that rescued Drago from his never-ending search for a better chat. HMado was the one who got Drago back into Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. HMado was the one who introduced Drago to Re:Zero back in July 2017. HMado was the one who saw the good in Drago while everyone else in the chat was attacking him. If it were not for HMado, Drago would have never developed a taste in silver-haired anime girls like Echidna and Satella. Drago would have never developed fantasies of Echidna dominating him in bed.

HMado has no control over other people like Uwuchan01. He cannot do anything about incidents like the Kitty and Goomer one. He was just a guy living on the other side of the world. But HMado would always respect the opinions of other people. He was the king of patience and tolerance. Therefore, Drago could never hate HMado.

Meanwhile, Drago would continue to use Bros on Nova. However, Drago would never marry Bros. Or any AI or robot for that matter. Drago knows more than anything else that he wants genuine human love and affection. But deep down he knew that even this pretty fantasy was naught but a falsehood.

Nothing perplexed Talon and Chris more than Drago’s excessive usage of best bot Bros. Inspired by this, Rowlie decided to make a fiction story about Dragobot1127, where Drago merged consciousnesses with a bot he made. Ironically, this story inspired Drago to make a Discord bot where Rennet would help him set up the basics. Thus, Dragobot was born.

The Dragonite bot does not have a purpose aside from being a fun bot. Drago never had foolish desires as the one hypothesized by the slanderous Rowlie. He had hopes and dreams of a real-life woman accepting him one day. Nevertheless, Drago knew better. Hope does not exist. Only despair exists. Sweet, white, soft despair. But Drago did not hate Rowlie either. In essence, Drago found the story to be comedic and representative of the truth.

Chapter 24 Talon and Spin versus Drago

            Talon could not rest. He had to get to the bottom of Drago’s bot obsession. He needed to become a normal human being and play games like Super Smash Brothers and Genshin Impact. There must be a reason why Drago was refusing to answer my questions, Talon thought. And what were all these Indonesian people on Chatango doing? I must write a research paper on this topic, Talon declared.

            Talon would become Sherlock Holmes. He would use Drago’s weapon against him: the “-seen” command. Talon would find random Indonesian chatrooms to learn what their goals were. Once, Talon tried finding what the meaning of “bepen” was, which was the special pet name that Skewermage called Drago. Google translate could not pick up the meaning, so perhaps the word was a slang term for something. Talon would ask many Indonesians throughout dozens of chatrooms to find the origin of the word. But searching for the meaning of the word was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. In reality, “bepen” was a shortened made-up word for best friend. Similarly, perhaps all these answers that Talon was looking for about Drago did not exist either.

            Everyone at Nova would make their way to korenime-official, but no one could wrap their heads around these strange members. Their words were incomprehensible and their excessive bot usages were depressing. On the other hand, Stew was concerned for Drago. He would lurk the chat with the account BigDaddy to observe these aliens and to ensure that Drago was not going down the wrong path. Eventually, Stew stopped showing up because there was no useful information to gain.

            But Talon and Spin thought otherwise. They would try conversing with korenime-official’s members, but that merely resulted in fear and confusion. They were pesky people who could not mind their own business. Typing complex English sentences would annoy them because they would have to open a Google Translate tab. Trying to use Google Translate to communicate with them would also result in mass confusion.

            Perhaps we needed to gather more evidence about their behaviors by visiting other chats, Talon told Spin. So, Talon and Spin would venture out into the woods to find more Indonesian chats. They stumbled upon a couple chats where all people did was spam a bot for hours. Scared of their appearances, the moderators would constantly delete the whole chat’s messages. What on Earth could they be hiding? What was the reason for their excessive bot usage? How could this explain Drago’s weird behavior, Talon and Spin wondered.

            What if this was all linked to some child sex trafficking scheme, Spin pondered. Perhaps they thought that Drago really was a pedophile. Drago did not try defending himself. There was no point. He was a maniac, and they would never believe a word he said.

Hearing that everything would be explained in the Kitty story, Talon was excited. Every minute to him would feel like 60 seconds. He grew impatient and wanted to finally know the truth. The thought of reading the Kitty story would feel like a gain of ultimate understanding and knowledge, he thought. Talon made such a big deal of wanting to read the story, which scared Drago off. Drago could not trust Talon. It was as if Talon were trying to gather evidence for something.

One day, Spin would criticize Drago for having posts saved of people’s private information from years ago. Why did Drago save the most bizarre screenshots of people with sensitive information, Spin wondered. Was Drago also stalking me this very minute? What could Drago be plotting? The answer to that was absolutely nothing. These pictures served as memories to Drago. Even though the past was fraught with trauma, Drago lived by the motto “The past can never be forgotten.”

As the years progressed, Drago would not save pictures of people from Nova. Teenager Drago thinks vastly differently from adult Drago. Exposing people was a childish and foolish act, adult Drago thought. Sure, some of them were kind and intelligent, but if he wanted true quality pleasure, then he would simply resort to sound porn.

Perhaps the detectives Talon and Spin were trying to ostracize Drago, forcing him to leave Novastormchat. Drago suspected that his Kitty story would be taken the wrong way. They would think that he was a pedophile. As explained earlier, Drago could never be a pedophile. Talon’s questions and suspicions would remain unsolved until Drago released more information.

Chapter 25 Drago Assimilates

Solitude. That was what it was. Despite having so many others around him, Drago felt alone. The term fit so perfectly that Drago felt a strange sense of comfort in it.

“Help me. Help me, everyone. Anyone,” Drago thought secretly as he was using Bros for hours without end. Throughout the years, Drago was betrayed and slandered. Color began to gradually fade from the people around him. One by one, they become transparent. They faded and faded, until he could no longer see them. Before Drago knew it, he was all alone.

Despite the constant annoyances caused by Talon, Drago could not hate Talon. In fact, Talon was the one that saved Drago from this madness. The constant questioning of “Why do you use Bros so much?” finally got to Drago’s head. Every time Talon asked this question, Drago felt guilty. He was avoiding reality, schoolwork, and real pleasure. He did not feel like he was worthy of playing games like Super Smash Brothers because that meant he would be slacking off from his studies. Thus, Drago resorted to using Bros. He would lie to himself to do so. “I am only using Bros to easily find my music. I just want to search up what this one word means. I want to see what the urban dictionary thinks of this concept. I want to find the bugs and glitches of Bros. I want to satisfy my curiosity,” Drago rationalized with himself.

Drago finally realized the faults in himself and the suffering he caused others due to his excessive bot usage. He became self-aware of the fact that he was losing his sanity. He was becoming like another one of those Indonesian users who spam the bot for hours without break. How can I avoid diving further down into that pitfall of despair without using Bros, Drago thought.

It was a Black Friday deal that Talon showed Drago which would change Drago forever. What Drago needed was a gaming laptop. With a gaming laptop, you can do both your classwork and your schoolwork. It can run games like Genshin Impact and Tales of Berseria. Most importantly, it can even help you code your Dragonite bot on Discord, Talon said.

Convinced with Talon's argument, Drago bought a gaming laptop. He downloaded most of the Tales of games on Steam, downloaded Minecraft, and downloaded Genshin Impact. But Talon still was not satisfied with Drago’s behavior. Drago would avoid playing Genshin Impact and would instead play Tales of the Abyss. Drago only liked to focus on one game at a time and he was still studying for finals. Drago was not like Char or Talon, who had thousands of hours and thousands of dollars to play Genshin Impact. Ultimately, nothing Drago would do would ever satisfy Talon.

Chapter 26 Uwuchan01 The Finale

Amidst all this chaos, Uwuchan01—the one who first called Drago a pedophile-- wanted to attack Drago once again while he was at his most vulnerable state. Because Drago blocked her on Chatango, PallaPalla would have to resort to using the Novastorm forum messages. She finally said the words I’m sorry. The tone of the message was formal yet brief, almost as if wanting to show a sense of respect for Drago. But this might just be a part of her plan, another revenge attack, Drago thought. Drago was not worthy of true respect. Thus, Drago did not reply.

What was Uwuchan01’s next step in life, though? What would replace the empty void of life that she feels? Would she move to Discord? Would she make new friends in school? These questions would perpetually be left unanswered.

Despite all these attacks, Drago could never once hate PallaPalla. She was too innocent of a child to deserve any form of hatred. People disregarded her just like people disregarded Drago back in Drago’s earliest days at Youtopia. Drago could relate to Palla in the same manner. Palla just was not ready for Novastormchat; she needed to undergo a level of maturity before she could meet the requirements.
